im asking if the simpsons are a good show for children and babies to watch?

No, it's just a little too -- risque -- for lack of a better word. The simpsons was created in the late 80s for a much more mature audience than young children. The overall humor content is geared more towards adults, and frankly, as I'm trying to teach my little ones about not lying, cheating, being selfish, etc., I find that Bart Simpson is just not a good role model.

My kids love the Simpsons. I would not let them watch Family Guy, but the Simpsons are okay with me. My kids are 7 and 3. I think every parent needs to make decisions like this based on what they think is appropriate for their own child. Some kids are more mature than others and can get a lot out of a thoughtful program like The Simpsons.

Theres enough to entertain both adults and children and because of the clever presentation the adult stuff goes right over the childrens' heads. I dont see any harm in children watching.

NO. It is a cartoon for adults and older teens. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends very limited TV for preschoolers and young elementary children and no TV under the age of 2.

ofcourse not. neither is sponge bob. but SPONGE BOB is better. HELLO? where is cartoon network.AW, withno cable....i sugggest A PUBLIC broadcast stations. they are morally/ethically okay for children. but if you choose to raise smart mouth children with poor habits....then simpsons may be a choice. no role models in that show.
