A cute idea, but it will never work.
America sees itself as a self-styled "enforcer of the world". So of course it must have more weapons that it denies other countries. For example, the USA has more Biological weapon stock than any other country combined. Same goes for nuclear, including ICBM. It forced other countries to disarm while retaining it's arsenal.
Kind of like a bully who tells all the other kids in the playground to put down anything that they could use as a weapon, yet has a baseballbat and a knife in his pocket.

Yeah, you're right, disarm the US and Israel, and see how long it is before their enemies bomb the SH*T out of them. Yeah, that'll help with world peace....even though the US and Israel have not and are not threatening anyone with their nuclear weapons.
