Men in skirts are already here. I for one wear them everyday whenever possible in and outside of the house in public. The public doesn't seem to mind, I get the occasional look, but seconds later they are on their merry way and to be honest, I get tons of compliments from women like "You have the sexiest legs I have ever seen in a skirt !!!" and "Damn, your legs are sexy in a skirt !!!" and of course "Your legs are sexier than any women's legs I have ever seen !!!" ...and I'm an older male...so there...
Call it what you want, a skirt or a kilt, they are here and males are wearing them from high school through college and beyond. I personally, have been wearing them all of my life, but only in the last 6 years have I been out in public with them on. I can understand how bi-women or gender neutral women might not like them, it's a personal preference and a subjective interest in the opposite sex's clothing, but I personally prefer skirts for the exact same (opposite) reason that Naomi P does and I support her understanding of what crossdressers really want out of clothing. It makes perfect sense.
For crossdressers whom have never been out -- closeted -- I would recommend that you get yourself a knee length denim skirt and a male polo..then shave your legs and put on hose or not depending upon your preferences and the weather and head out into the public and do it now ! You'll be nervous for about 10 minutes to be sure, but the first couple of cars that go by and when you don't get a reaction from anyone you're going to be hooked !!!
Skirts for men and equal clothing for women are here to stay. They're not going away so the public should get used to it. It's just a piece of clothing, the only thing that has changed is people's preferences, comfort and health considerations. Otherwise, they're all the same people living their lives as they see fit. And that is the power of freedom of expression...
The world is changing...change with it or your kids will be left behind...

I think there are lots of comfotable clothes out there besides skirts. Have you tried the pants like the ones they wear in india? Hammer pants might also be comfortable. Haha, althought I'm sure you probably wouldn't want to wear those. You could desighn a light weight skirt, but it might blow up in the wind, so you have to worry about holding it down all the time or your undies will show. You should try a light weight pant, one that flows a little bit more and is made of thinner material.

Thats funny, I'm totally opposite. I'm a bi fem who prefers male clothing over woman's clothes any day. I just love how baggy it is and doesn't grab you. Men's pants hold on the hips and fall away. Women's jeans grapple the hips, push up the butt/thighs and then fall away. Not my style at all.
o, and I have seen men skirts on some websites, but they're mostly bondage skirts.

kilts are customary in certain countries. Also some countries wear robes, or clothes like a dress, only styled (for men) according to their structure (usually in very hot places). But we do not need to "step back" to think. I live in Alaska, and it takes little thought to conclude it better for me to dress with trousers.

Wearing female clothes has absolutely nothing to do with your sexuality. I am gay and will never wear womens clothes, since I find it uncomfortable and unflattering.
I agree however, if you like it; wear it.

I knew a man named Draco who did that.
You have a point.
I think men should wear skirts everyday.
Especially really short ones.
My friend, he wore long skirts.
I think it is your job in life to make those men skirt patterns.

In most of south and south-east Asia men use a sarong, which is really a wrap-around skirt.

It is a matter of convenience, and comfort. Some day this may become fashionable.
