D70 vertucal grip?

Can the 3rd party vertical grip be install to D70? I saw there is a remote wire attaching to the D70 body. But i look at my camera there is no slot for the plug, Pls advise. Thanks

They shouldn't have wires. What you probably saw, was the option to connect a shutter release cable to the battery pack (something you can't do with the standard D70)
