Your body is like an engine and when you eat, or drink something, it's putting fuel in your engine so your engine runs smoothly and (for the most part) quietly. When there is no fuel, the engine continues to run but you hear the noise of that engine running because of the lack of fuel.
Did you ever hear a car as it runs out of gas. It gets much noisier just before it stops for good.
Your stomach growling is your body telling you it's hungry and needs to be fueled... SOON!

You have not told your age. If you are below 25, the rumbling means you are very hungry. If you are 7 months pregnant, then the kid inside your womb is alive and kicking. If you are above 40, you have developed gas. If you are above 50, you have ulcers. If you are above 60, you need water to drink. If you are above 70, anything may happen. If you are above 80, you have to wait till I reach 80. Thanks.

I always thought so but my Dr told me it was your bowels moving.
It could be nerves and stress too. That plays a part.

It just means it is empty. Either one, food or drink, will work.
