On a lesser level, many girls like it when your impressive around their girlfriends, by impressive I mean showing your love for her (not yourself)
I.E.
Send her and her best friend out to lunch (without you, just gift certificate)
Send her mother flowers thanking her for such a beautiful daughter
Bring a buddy to her house and play handyman for the day (no complaining aloud)

Well my husband is not the most romantic man, so I guess I would have to say that if he did something romantic that would definitely blow me away.
