And bearing in mind the passage in Revelations that refers to "the mark of the beast", who was responsible for this piece of sick coding?

Or is this just an urban myth?

I've heard this from quite a few people!

Hey Gungnir, go blow yourself.

If you can't answer questions, don't respond.

Paul made a statement that we really need to apply today. He states "Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life" (2 Cor. 3:6).

Many people try to interpret spiritual concepts throughout the Bible physically, and the results are error and confusion.

The 666 system is a spiritual concept, and the only way to understand it is through prayer. When Jesus would give a parable, the disciples would scratch their heads...and ASK Him! Today we need to do the same.

If the 666 system is something as simple as the barcode or a chip implanted, even the world will be able to put the peices together. No relationship with God required. No knowing His voice vs. the voice of a stranger. Additionally, no message from God contained therein. The real spiritual meaning to the 666 system is full of significance, pointing back to similar Old Testament principles and their culmination.

Bring it to God in prayer, voicing your desire for Truth to Him. Ask for bread, and He won't give you a stone. :)

As revelation states, there will be a literal mark that everyone will have to get rev 13:16-17. No where in scripyures does it say that its a bar code. People assume this cause you have to by with it. Scripture gives no description of what it will be or look like, except for these verses i showed you, that this mark is a number of a man since the number 6 in the bible is the number of man, and also if you dont take the mark during the tribulation period they will cut off your head Rev 20:4, and also if you recieve the mark during the tribulation period, it means literally that you have given your soul to satan and there is no way for these people to get to heaven Rev 14:9-11.

No Guy. It just isn't . It's just another scare rumor. Revelation 13:18 tells what the 666 represents. Some studying will tell you why the number 6 is mans number. I'll give you a hint, if man was perfect, his number would be 7

Paying too much attention to the Book of Revelation as a bag of life answers is stressful. Worrying more about who will win the New York State Lotto is more productive than weighing whose interpretation of what's said in that book is true.

Maybe you'd feel better if you ponder about whom to give that food item you bought at the store rather than worrying needlessly about its barcode, don't you think?
