Plan a getaway weekend to a romantic bed and breakfast. My husband and I have known each other 3 years and been married nearly 1, and we go yearly to a bed and breakfast - in fact, it is how we will spend our upcoming anniversary this year. We love them because you meet people, have these wonderful gourmet breakfasts, and usually the places are quaint and in a city where you can shop, kayak and do other fun things. Makes a great gift!!

I wish you many more anniversaries and think it is wonderful you want to do something special. I lost my husband to sudden cardiac arrest after 23 yrs of marriage and Always planned a romantic get-away on our honeymoon-actually we each took everyother year to plan it and surprise eachother. It added that special spark to our marriage and the anticipation of where he was going to take me or I him was exciting. I did so many different things but always booked us a hotel away from home and kids-always around some theme-like theme park, horseback riding ranch, ocean or historic town so we had plenty of fun things to do and then our evenings were spent alone intimately with no interruptions! It renewed our intimacy and usually it took the year to save and plan for the next one but they were always memorable and we had lots to share with family and friends when we came home. We took alot of pics too so we could remember our special times-it was fun looking back 10-15 yrs to see what we did, looked like, etc. I wish you the best and have fun!
