Point out any errors in this logic
By taking count of the geneology, the bible would have us believe the earth is only thousands of years old. Science tells us the oldest rocks on earth are 4.6 billion yrs old. Did god deceive us?
Or does god change the physical laws during the crucial date measurement, again deceiving us.
God is the deceiver, the devil, the beast.

carbon dating isn't used to date rocks, i believe it is uranium,tthorium etc decay
the decay rates of each isotope are measure and found to be constant within limits of measurement (which are accurate), from the relative amounts of these elements in a sample of rock the rock can be dated

How is science dating the rocks?

There are several methods. One method dates rocks by the fossils found in the rocks. This seems to be a sound method until you stop to realize that the fossils are dated by the rocks in which they are found. This is called circular reasoning. It is kind of like saying, "I know I am a rabbit because I have a rabbit's tail. How do I know I have a rabbit's tail? Because I am a rabbit! Put algebraically, A = B because B = A. But, where is the proof that B=A?

Another method of dating objects is with the carbon-14 dating method. However, this method is flawed at it's foundation. This method assumes that ALL carbon started its existance in the same form! Where is the proof of this? Can it ever be proved? Not likely. Only the scientist who created the world could possibly know in what state each carbon atom was formed!

Perhaps, the rock was dated using the geological column. This, too, is a flawed method for this reason. Science has yet to find a sample of earth that exactly matches their geological column. So, you see, science is becoming a religion; it is becoming the very thing it opposes. It is becoming a religion because these theories which are being presented as fact have no basis in provable fact. This is what science wants to believe! People accept science in blind faith, just like they accuse people doing with the Bible!

Let's consider that geologic column again. It seems to be a logical way for dating rocks and fossils. We know that vegetation and dust settle on the earth and form more soil. So, in thoery, we should be able to mathematically extrapolate the approximate date of something being deposited on the earth. But, what if the Bible is correct? In Genesis, we are taught that there was a world-wide flood. But, did you know that the biblical account goes farther than just a flood? It tells us that the earth broke. "The fountains of the deep were opened". There are indications of earthquakes and volcanic activity. Now, let's just suppose that these things actually happened as the Bible relates. What would that do to the geological column? It would destroy it! There were world-wide upheavals and coverings. Yes, just like in a glass of dirty water, the soil and debris in the water that covered the earth would settle - heaviest first. So you see, science that chooses to ignore fact and possibility to prove its point, is not science but religion!

Now, let's consider one more thing. In the Bible, we are told that God cannot be tempted to do evil, nor does He tempt anyone else to do evil (James 1:13). So, on this point you are correct. Either the Bible is correct and God is God, or God is a liar and is not good! I have found no evidence that the Bible is wrong or that God is not the God He claims to be.

All competent theologians will agree that there are gaps in the genealogy of the Bible. God has not deceived anybody. In the Bible God has not told us all that we want to know, only what he feels that we need to know. I agree that the earth is far older than just a few thousand years. For instance, we do not know how long Adam and Eve spent in the Garden of Eden before Adam sinned and they were expelled. Although a great many Bible scholars contend that the six days of creation were literal 24 hour days (and I do believe that this is possible, as God has power and intelligence far beyond anything that we can imagine) the method of recording time did not take place until the creation of man. Time was created for man, and not man for time. The Bible says that with God a thousand years is as a day and a day is as a thousand years. This means that time and space do not restrict God. This is not really a doctrinal question, meaning that it has nothing to do with salvation, so do not spend a great deal of time pondering it---the devil loves to get people off on to tangents like this in order to keep their minds and activities off of the true things of God, which involve preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. The error in logic that I see first off is the idea that an oral history like the Bible can be counted into an empirical scientific study. I think that's a bit misguided.

You could just as easily argue in the opposite direction:

God created the world 6000 years ago. However, science is actually an institute of Satan the Deceiver, and its function on earth is to deceive the masses into believing that God doesn't exist, or that God's word is flawed.

I think both theories have elements of circular logic. We could all just untwist our knickers and accept that both scientific data and historical data are fallible. It is just as possible to prove that God exists than to prove that God and Satan are one or that God is non-existent. It's not about proving it - spirituality is about faith.

I personally think that God is not a deceiver. As for the Bible, most of the things found in the Bibile are symbolical, for example the creation. The world and everything weren't created in just seven days, it just symbolizes that God could make all things possible if he wants to, even to create a whole new world in just a jiffy.
As for the devil, I believe they are way beyond being beasts. They're devils, and nothing more could go beyond them. They're pure evil.

Even scientists agree with this. For they say that the sun and planets formed together, and at a time the sun began its burning, and darkness fled, and the earth, which was void, became more and more a world with water and life. But understand, that it is possible that all these things we see and walk through are but in His imagination even as I write, and not yet created. So it is meaningless to speculate. But faith is not meaningless, for God is true. I have considered that none of you dwell in the same time as myself. Thus, I exist alone, and all of you are somewhere else. I am simply living through a memory of my life, or perhaps, the imagination of my life, and am really not seeing or experiencing with anyone actually with them. (You might still be in yesterday, or maybe tomorrow.) So we can invent all kinds of things about existance, but I know that God is true, and that men are deceived.

Moderndating methods are only accurate for about 2.5 thousand years, the older a sample is the less likley it is to get accurate measurements. This is due to outside contamination of the sample from UV radiation, chemical changes in the sample from outside contaminants, water for example combining with other elements in the sample altering its chemical composition, all of of these factors drastically take away any accuracy of chronological measurements.
Now in answer to your question, if the earth was indeed billions of years old, as proposed by my colleagues, the sea would now be a chemical soup unable to support and sustain life. This is due to the sea being polluted by minerals bought from continental shelves from rivers and streams, aolian deposits, such as carbon, sulpher emmisions from geoligical activity eg volcanoes, also the black smokers that are formed as the oceanic plates drift apart, these black smokers pour trillions of tons of contaminants a year into the oceans, so with all of these combined, the sea would indeed be inhospitible to the life that is there. This would also affect us with acid rain etc making plant life impossible, so the earths age is not as old as what you woud believe.

Here is the error in your logic: this theory is based upon the incorrect assumption that the entire human genealogy can be found in the Bible. Close scrutiny shows there are huge gaps in certain genealogies given to us by God. There's a very practical reason for this: think how HUGE the Bible would be if it listed every single human being who lived since Adam and Eve!
