I thought it would be like a rinse, which eventually washes out, but apparently it will only fade. I have washed my hair 9 times, and it has faded a little....what can I do?(it is a chocolate brown, which I like but don't want permanently) my natural colour is mousy light brown, with blonde streaks.

hopefully you have a hairstylist you trust. yes. it will fade over time but my suggestion is to have it colored (by a colorist) to as close to natural as you can get and then let it grow. that is the beauty of hair..nothing is really "permanent"

Yes it will return to normal overtime. Most likely though you will have to wait until new growth come in to see your true color. After you get your new growth then you could cut the ends and you have your natural hair color back. If you don't want to wait that long and you don't mind short hair, you can just cut if off. The other option is to wait a few weeks, about 8, and then color it your natural color and when your hair grows out, it will match. Good luck.

it's a semi permanent... much if will fade but may just have to grow out too. I did the same thing and for some reason the color faded a bit... not entirely and I just had to wait till it grew out or cut... I just cut it out and started over again

Semi permanent hair coloring has to GROW out. You could see a colorist and have it dyed back to your normal color. I would suggest you not try it yourself because dye on dye is tricky.
