The fact of the matter is if you are dieting you should try to refrain from drinking alcohol.Alcohol is made from the fermentation of sugars. It doesn't have an effect on net carbohydrate consumtion but that does not mean that there is no caloric impact somewhere down the line.I actaully don't refrain from drinking when dieting so I choose vodka or JD.Watch what you mix it with as that may have calories. You can try mixing vodka with crystal light or any diet soda that you like.Hope this helps.

Well there are too much rumours and referrals and denials about it, Some says it is good for health if taken in limited quantity. Here are some views what I have learned.
Beer: It is basically was made with Malt's starch, but nowadays Potato and Rice are also in Use, but in any case it is aerated drink, and Soda (Water with mixed carbon-di-oxide) is not good for health, it increases fats.
In my views GIN, VODKA and White Rum are best suited for summer as they have cool nature as compared to RUM, Whisky and Red wine.
But as doctor's says, it should not be more than 120 ml. say two large pegs
Alcohols r best meant for winters.
In winter you can take Red Wine, Rum , Whisky and brandy too, brandy is considered of very hot nature, so don't take much quantity of it.
but after every drinks you should eat something within half an hr. and this will strengthen your heart and will maintain cholestrol level also and your Blood pressure will be also nice, but if you will take it in much quantity then pray to god only :D

When I've looked into diets, the only alcohol I was allowed was a glass of wine a night. All other alcohols were forbidden when on a diet. So wine is your best choice.

Please stop drinking alcohol.

If you read the label on a bottle of the popular drink "Snapple" it states "Made from the best stuff on earth". if you go to the ingredients there is a list of chemicals, artificial colours and flavours PLUS water. It takes a few seconds to realise that water is "the best stuff on earth".

Alcohol affects the brain. When you drink you are not in full control of your mind. Even two beers can seriously affect basic abilities like driving. Very dangerous.

There is nothing called "responsible drinking" as advertised by the liquor companies. All alcohol is the chemical "ethyl alcohol" plus a few colours and flavours.

It may interest you to know that meditation releases the same "feel good" hormones called endorphins in the brain. Try meditation. Its free. Go to www.dhamma.org

I just saw a article on this. Try white wine spritzers. It's half a glass of white wine and the other half seltzer or club soda.
