I swear if my microwave "reminds" me one more time, it's getting heaved to the curb. I will get there, when I get there.

Turtle girl bless your heart!! I think the same thing about my darn microwave (and all the instructions are in Korean and I cannot figure out if or how I can turn that beeping off)!! When I cook or heat anything, I naturally want it to stay in there a bit to cool down -- and that machine just keeps beeing merrily away when all I want to do is throw a shoe at it!!!
Great question and I'm on your side!!!

Ya know when the smoke alarm battery starts to go dead, and the thing beeps -- I know that has to annoy my puppy when I'm at work during the day. It drives me nuts for the five minutes I'm trying to find a stupid 9V battery to put in it. Then when I install the battery, it beeps like there's a fire in the house - I'm deaf for at least 30 mins afterward! Oh well....at least I know the batteries are ok.

The buzzing key in the car ignition. Somebody ELSE's buzzing- key-in-the-ignition. It reminds me that my own car is an antique and has no power-anything or A/C.
