If you have to ask your mother's permission, are you old enough to be thinking of marriage? If you are fully aware of society's cruelty toward mixed marriages even in this day of supposed enlightenment, then go forward. What does the girl and her family think. Many times a marriage gets trouble from both families and then it's really hard to make the marriage work without some sort of support. Good luck in whatever you do.

hmmm how can someone be a little black? She's either black or not black... If you're of legal age to marry why would you care what your mother thinks. It's your life/ you love/ etc etc.
Do what makes you happy and be accountable for any decision you do make. If you do marry this woman the obsticles with your family will have to be made very clear that this is your wife and respect the fact that she is your wife.

Why the hell you ask us what to do? When you know for sure that your mother is above any girl on this planet, so if she doesn't like the girl you love, you won't marry against her will. You better leave that girl alone cause you don't deserve her and let your mother find a girl for yourself, a "white" one...well, as "white" as an Indian can be...which is more yellow or light brown.

In an ideal world, this wouldn't be an issue, but is color the only reason that yor mom has issues with your fiance? Have a heart-to-heart because sometimes the issues are deeper than what may appear. Then if it's as trivial as the amount of melanin that is in a person's skin, then make your decision based on love. Skin color doesn't determine personality, affection, and the worth of a person, so don't let someone elses twisted beliefs tarnish yours. She is your mother so respect her wishes, but you are a man and you have to make your own decisions in your life. Be in peace my brother.

Look chief, your mom isn't going to pay your bills once you move out and on with someone you love. If she doesn't like tell arranged marriages happen in one of those foreign countries and not here in the good ol' US of A!

She's black. So what? That isn't a problem to me. Unfortunately mixed race children have problems in US society, because they are different from everyone else. If you do marry and have children, always tell your kids how special they are. Encourage them to find other kids like them.
