There are several Federal laws when it come to military papers. Personally I would try a museum. But if you want to try www.ebay.com ....

You should be a good citizen and give them back to the branch of service he was with. They'd probably love to have them on display or something. Or even better yet, try to track down his family that's around now and give them the discharge papers.
