Try covering up all your windows so no light what so ever gets in. Then drink some chamomile tea with some honey in it. Or drink some warmed up milk. Play some soft music to relax by. I hope this helps you.

Don't go to bed as soon as you get home. Stay up until about 2pm and sleep until 8 or 9. Many third shifters hit the sack at 7 and that's not right. Do you go straight ot bed at 4pm when you work days? Also, fall asleep to noise - put your TV on sleep timer. I found that If I fell asleep to noise, I was less likely to be awakened by noise. Turn your phone off.
I worked third shift for almost 10 years. It took me a couple months to get into the groove, but it happened. Now, 10 years later, I still hate working days.
Good luck.

Do not sleep as soon as you get home, delay it so that it is like an extended nap.
Try to simulate night atmosphere, darken the rooms with curtains/blach outs, use eye sheilds and if you can not control the noise, ear plugs.
This is not very healthy, though.

it must be quite difficult to make your self sleep once you aren't to any extent further bodily drained, yet there's a thanks to get your napping progression again on course (napping at nighttime time, wide awake and alert day time). go with a nighttime to commence, and bypass to sleep once you experience drained, and sleep till you awaken. Then, you may want to stay wide awake for the completed nighttime the subsequent day, therefore to re-set up the hours your body is used to napping. operating example: bypass to sleep at 6pm, awaken at 2am. stay wide awake from 2am till the traditional time you may bypass to mattress at nighttime once you're drained, eg. 10pm. you may want to discover this receives your napping progression again so as. desire this enables!
