Because the hamster powered generator is broken and they need to pay the utility company for the electricity they use. Also, the miraculous water collection and purification machine is suffering similar malfunctions, and they need to pay the water company for the water they use. I'm not sure that priests need to eat, but if they do, I'm sure at least some of their food comes from grocery stores, which aren't giving their food away. Most grocery stores I've been to ask for money in exchange for their merchandise.

Please don't forget that the Church does use a big portion of their collections for humanitarian causes. Prayers don't feed the hungry, or clothe the poor.

Peace

it fairly is because, regrettably, numerous the church homes are the "synagogue of devil". What occurred to assembly interior the houses and sharing as all and sundry had want? The BS became epidemic even as the state church changed into formed, and from there, the Protestant Reformation, which began off sturdy, yet became corrupt besides. it truly is likewise actual there have been smaller congregations that were awful besides. See the 7 church homes of Revelation. The body of Christ is produced from all born lower back believers in each and every technology all all over the realm. we do not want systematic, company worship, with ecclesiastical authority. when we are saying "body of Christ", meaning it won't be able to be divided, otherwise it might want to no longer exist. So we've those form of denominations besides in direct contradiction of Scripture. To hell with them! i visit serve God and God by myself. i'm no longer a Protestant, Catholic, Calvinist, Anglican, or perhaps with the certainty that; i'm a Christian and that is that!!

Not all churches can manage to even pay the electricity, water and teabags and sugar and milk bills, never mind make money.

Yes some of the big vatican linked ones etc. are serious business, but they are covering up 'other' earnings made elsewhere.

But your regular little church needs people to give freely because they appreciate th gesture of people voluntarily serving the church to help others.

A pound from your pocket can give a hundred people a cup of tea and a heartfelt chat after a service.

What will bother U more is the Vatican has vaults of fine art/gold/priceless artefacts.
& they're always asking 4 money 2!
Always remind Churches that Charity begins at home.
The millions that the Vatican have could wipe out hunger/3rd World Dept & Aids 4 good.

Just because an organisation owns a lot of land does not necessarily make that organisation financially stable. The Church may be asset rich but it could still struggle because it has poor cash flow.

Because money is power and every religion since the inception seeks power to keep the reins of the world in its hands; so naturally they always feel short of money...of course Church is no exception.

greed is the simple answer.the more they have the more they want. they tell their people it's an offering to god...what would he need money for if he really existed? isn't he meant to be all powerful and able to do anything? if so i'm sure he could conjure up a few quid for a night out.

the money u put in the church collection every Sunday is an offering to the Lord. it is not demanded, it is a self realization. if you have the money , you can contribute . the Church uses the money for its basic needs and the rest is given away to deserving orphanages / needy people / sick people or distributed in accordance to any missionary activities or charities.

they feel they can because the bible tells us, "they that preach the gospel shall live of the gosple", indicating that if i go into a town preaching i should be able to survive by recieving donations, also the early church people banded together and helped one another but the church you see in front of you today is fat and greedy and corrupt, there are still churches that take donations to help the needy and provide a place to worship
