why aren't we supposed to eat the seeds in melons and peppers?

some seeds are edible such as this exotic fruit in Thailand (i forgot the name) - u can roast it and its actually crunchy like peanuts - but most seeds aren't exactly "yummy" so you just don't eat them - also, they might be hard to digest

coz those digestive acids in our stomachs arent strong enough to break them down and hence they wil pose a problem if they get stuck at the appendix which will creates major hell of a pain. u have to undergo an operation to remove it. appendix is located at your intestines.

because our stomach does not digest seeds. Meaning eventually you could get sick or get an infection from eating seeds

They won't hurt you, some may not digest and the will float off harmlessly with your stool. They may end up somewhere and replant themselves. I've seen this myself. true-story.
