I can't say that I do. As a matter of fact I end up a little disappointed when I don't get best answer. *grumble* I like to peruse questions for one that I like and am sure I know the answer to, or come across something that snags some empathy.

I put a lot of thought and consideration into my answers, and have discovered a new pet peeve..people that are rude or give BS answers for a lousy 2 points. I need an answer filter so that I don't find myself loading the web page and signing in just to get a "uhhhhhh dunno. thanx for the points!"

I think sometimes, and I talk from personal experience here, there are too many pointless questions whereby to give a sensible answer is just a waste of time.
If the question is one that is serious and/or at least has had some thought put in to it then it deserves to have a decent answer.

I don't really think that in the most cases those that give a simple answer (and get two points) are lacking intelligence, I think it just comes down to the fact that they cannot be bothered giving a sensible answer to a pointless question.
Of course it depends on an individuals perception of what is sensible or not.

As I am sure you have noticed there is a tendency on here for more people to respond to some of the most pointless questions ever but some serious ones only get a couple of repsonses. I still don't think it is a lach of intelligence but as you can see you can get 2 points for basically answering questions yes or no, there is no thought required with that.

If I think that the answer deserves a sensible answer and well thought one I will write one, but if not I will tend not to answer it all.

By the way I think the question you have raised here is a very good and valid one.

The quality of one's answer doesn't necessarily guarantee the 10 points. People ask questions that they usually have some idea as to what the answer might be, and are looking for validation. You can put lots of thought into an answer, and not get the 10 points because the asker doesn't like or agree with your answer. The way the 10 points are awarded is very subjective, and sometimes it's a waste of time to put in the effort.
I recently got 10 points from an asker who told me he already knew the answer, was trying to prove a point to someone else, and that I was a know-it-all!! Needless to say I regretted having spent fifteen minutes providing a thoughtfull answer.

Hey Baby Bring the big questions on, I love a challenge. I also Like to get into the categories that I have an interest in or I work in so that I can have a intelligent/logical answer, and I can see by your question that you have not receive many good answers to your questions, am I getting warm or is it your steamy eyes that I'm reacting too?? Sorry its late and I digress. Hope you find the answer you've been waiting for.

Lack of intelligence could be offset by trying to help the asker and giving the right answer. Significantly, by not making a fool of the asker just like making comments that he is stupid, rascist or ignorant.

most of the time, i would take the effort to write an answer that might be eligible for ten points, though there are the times when i couldn't care less and just put a short answer there.

I try to answer questions to the best of my knowledge to help people. Even if I got no points I'd be happy knowing I put a solid answer up.

Well.. if I were to put some thought into this.. I could simply ..just not be able to.

Because, if I actually tried this time-- I'd be lying to you, to everyone, and myself.

So, since I am only one of the many that may steal 2 points instead of 10-- I cannot answer that question accurately.

Technically, however, there is only one me inside of me.. so how many of me (because I am one of the "you's" in your question) is the actual me.. is only one.

So.. theres' your answer. One..because the many of you's in me is only one... me.

Its not lack of intelligence... its time. I have only so much time I can waste at work!
