that's a tough question. i think everyone struggles with that one, even athiests.
personally, i long to be happy with whatever situation God puts me in and see the divine wisdom behind it.

I believe that god created adam and eve. I believe that he worked miracles. however, I believe that fate is our ruling dynasty now. GOD did not put us where we are. GOD didn't make people evil. FATE is the glue that holds us together. allow me to explain.
Imaging all of humanity as a whole. while on the surface it looks like we just are, observe the little nuances of our lives together. One person says hello to another person on a train. 8 other people hear that person say hello and AUTOMATICALLY the person speaking is now hardwired into those other 8 people. the person who the person is speaking to is more in touch with the speaking person. these 10 people will likely go on with their lives not caring about eachother, but the EFFECT will be such that every person there was touched. perhaps the next day, those 10 say hello to one other person. they in turn touch 10 more people. the cycle goes on and on. It shows the interconductivity of the human race. as the saying goes, no matter how alone you are, someone else is always with you. GOD didn't put bad people in your life. YOU live willingly in their path. GOD didn't make your choice to reject him, YOU did. I firmly believe that Gods touch on earth has ended. Fate and chance rule our world. thank you

I think it's pretty reasonable to be mad at God for putting us in a world like this. He makes us sinful and then forbids us to sin. He lets us suffer and promises some kind of paradise if we just act right. Of course this paradise will only arrive once we're dead, so nobody can tell it it's true or not. If anybody would come to your door with a scam like this, you'd send him to hell. And rightly so. So for me the real question is: why do people believe in God? It just puts you in a lot of trouble when you really think about it.

Humans invent Gods in their own images, so how could anyone be unhappy with his own creation?
Those who become unhappy with him (it?) change religions until they find one that makes them happy.
