gonna to try to explain this as well as I can. Its a relationship issue. I dated a guy from ages 14-17. We were madly in love. Then he moved to another state and never made contact with me for months I was crushed, and would have waited for him to come back if he asked me to, but he didnt. So I moved on and met the man who is now my husband. I love him so much, hes my soulmate and I know my ex was wrong for me. My ex is ADHD, and has self-esteem and drug issues. I know my life would never have worked with him When I had been dating "frank" my husband, my ex came back and tried to win me over again. He used my emotions against me. And yeah, I missed him, but I knew we couldnt be together. But why do I still think about him? I have vague dreams about him and am constantly tempted to call. He pops into my head at least once a day. I dont fantasize about being with him, but I just really want to talk to him. Is this the "you never get over your first love" thing? Personal experiences?

These are ur own words and u answered it as well. Look ahead as happiness lies in being with someone who cares, share and is honest. Ur ex is ur past and u r happily married and well settled now.
Why do u want to put ur present relationship into turmoil going back in times. And mind u, there is neve such a thing as "you never get over your first love".
So forget ur past as one of those things and enjoy the present with ur sweet hubby.

it takes years to get over your first love. It sounds like his moving was the best thing that could have happened to you. Its OK to day dream about what might have been but with all the issues you have mentioned Id say it would have ended up being more like a night mere.
