A cappuccino or should I say a real cappuccino is mostly foam, whereas a latte is more milk.
At Starbucks, a tall cappuccino is a shot and the rest foam.
A tall latte is a shot with your choice of milk, cream, etc.

Depends on where you go..Gourmet shops- A cappuccino is half foam/half steamed milk with espresso. A latte is steamed milk with about a 1/4 inch of foam from milk.

both of them are made with a shot of expresso, then a cappuccino is topped off with foamed milk, while a latte (a taller drink) has hot steamed milk added and is then topped off with foam. V. milky - yum!
