before creaion there was no time, as time is a creation. therefore, "before" doesn't factor in.

God is the Creator of all things. The first quality that would do God justice is to acknowledge Him that He is the Creator of all things and He is not created by any being. Once we understand that fact, then we can understand that God the Creator, is always creating. There can never be a instance with God's existence that He stops from creating. Right this moment while you and I are not witnessing what God is doing, I can assure you there are millions of stars being born and galaxies are set forth by God to do a certain purpose in His splendid existence as a Creator. Therefore God cannot possibly exist without enjoying creation. There can never be a moment in God's time that spent without creation. That is not the quality of God. What was God doing before creation? He was always creating. He has all the time for it and the space that never comes to an end. David describes God that He never gets tired and never sleep in Psalm 121. It is read," He will not let you stumble and fall; the one who watches over you will not sleep. Indeed, he who watches over Israel, never tires and never sleeps."

I used to wonder about that. It must have been a pretty boring infinitely-long-time. I wondered what made him decide at that moment to go ahead and create an earth.
Now I don't wonder about that because I realise the whole thing is silly.

The only thing we know he did is create the high council of angels. They watched as God created the universe

It's about time for an intelligent question! Unfortunately, I don't have an intelligent answer for you.
Well, I do have an answer. Perhaps before he created us and our solar system, maybe he was out creating other planets and civilizations? I can't wrap my mind around what he would have done before creating anything, though ...

He must have destroyed the civilization which he created before. He just plays his own game. By the way why are you bothered? You do what is good for you.

God just sat around in a state of non-existence waiting for people to arrive and invent Him.

Twirl his thumbs? Play guitar? Count the minutes? Who knows. I'm sure all his infinite divine power wasn't being "wasted".
