Knowing oneself is its own reward. Also, oneself actually exists.

If we try to first know ourselves and then know HIM after that, we will never have enough time to know HIM.
It's because we can never know ourselves fully - unless and until we come to God and experience Him ourselves. By doing so, His Spirit will reveal more of God to us, and we discover Him. Knowing God is a life-long process and we can never reach the maximum level of knowing Him.
From my personal experience, as I take time to know God for who He is, I am also rediscovering myself - He shows me what the state of my heart is (things that even I myself am unaware of) and makes me know / appreciate myself even better.
God knows us better - He created us and He formed our inner parts. Why not take the time to know Him ourselves? Then only will we be able to discover and know our inward characters & attitudes. Get ready for an adventurous ride! =)

No. I was first introduced to God as a child, when I had no concept of knowing myself. The path we take as we mature allows us to know ourselves. We have to know Him to know ourselves.

Sorta, we do need to know we are sinner to know we need a savior!
I like Job who went though a lot and said in the end The God I heard about I now know!
John telling of the scroll that lamb of God comes to take in Revelation is cool too!

Why? If its taught that natural humans are lacking in the eyes of Him should we waste our time figuring out how He can help us when His vision is so much better than ours? Know Him, love yourself and others. Sounds like a far better deal, one that is already offered too.

If by "know" you are referring to the oft used Biblical interpretation of the word "know" ... then yes, I fully support everyone taking the time to get to know their own bodies.

You have to self-analyze yourself to ever understand the divine. You can find answers to creation and evolution in understanding your own thoughts.
Hint: If you think 'god' is a he, you have no clue of the divine.

I think some would agree that knowing Him helps you know yourself.

Absolutely. Knowing yourself is in a sense knowing him. (to know is to know, that to know is not knowing) LOL

No. Because we are two different people. I am me and He is God.
