Maybe bacteria got into those areas. Did you rub your eyes & nose recently? Once I rub my eyes so bad that my white eye area gone red & my vision was really blur for a while. You can get some fast cure from the pharmacy.

Honey, don't stay in an abusive relationship. Get out now while it's just your eye lids and nose. These things usually escalate and can result in you're getting killed by the brute.

It sounds a bit like blepharitis. This I believe, is caused by skin cells such as in dandruff, falling on the eyelids and causing a reaction. You can check it out on the net as there is plenty of information about. I get it myself occasionally.

Is this swelling accompanied by itching? or fever? or change in skin color?

It may be some insect bite if accompanied by itching/burning sensation. If it is accompanied by fever than it may be Hay fever.
If it continues/prologed for more than 2/3 days, contact your family doctor. He is the best judge.

I would recommend you go to an Optometrist if a round of Claritin or some other anti-histamine doesn't clear it up in less than a week. ODs are well qualified in your situation to get this cleared up quickly.
