I think you don't have to worry about getting pregnant since you already have your period. One thing u need to be sure though, after your period and you want to have sex again, make sure it's 3-4 days after your period is done or you can schedule it with ovulation calendar to know whether you want to have unprotected sex. Because if you have unprotected sex during your ovulation days then you are very likely going to be pregnant. It is a 50-50 chance, so you have to be really careful. Some women ovulate during a cycle but that is rare. Your chances of *being* pregnant are scant.
And of course you can still get pregnant if that's what your trying for, one failed attempt doesn't mean you will never have children.

of course you can still be pregnant i didn't know i was pregnant until the day i gave birth i just thought i was fat and i thought i wasn't pregnant because i was still having my periods any way my answer came 9months later a beautiful baby girl but be warned i didn't want her at first i was in so much shock!!!!!!!!!!!!
