After WWI the british told the Paelstinians that they would become independent becuase they helped the British fight their Turkish rulers. Palestinians had always been here, but Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire. The problem is, they told Jews in Europe the exact same thing becuase many Jews in Europe and the US helped the Allies with arms and money, even though they had already promised the land to the Palestinians. For the most part, European Jews and Palestinians got along ok in Palestine. This ended after WWII and the holocaust. The British promise to European Jews was finally taken up and by a huge influx of Europena Jews.
These new immigrants forced Palesinians off their land and created a Jewish state where Palestine had been. European Jewish Immigrants and native Palestinians have been fighting it out ever since. (This is only a histroy of what lead to the conflict though, the conflict itself is much more complicated.)

The capture of 2 Israeli soldiers that had entered Syrian territory. Although the area where they were captured is legally owned by Syria, it's ownership is disputed by Lebanon who were pursuing the matter through legal channels.

The problem is that it is illegally occupied by Israel, so when the soldiers went there the technically crossed a border and were captured. Israel, failing to recognise the UN ruling stating that it is not their territory, retaliates with an inordinate amount of force. Of course they can do this because the US government condones their actions, secure in the knowledge that the brain dead American population will support them.

They have some religious,ethnical and political problem aggravated with international interventions. Palestinians of Israelies, whoever is correct in its reasons, but it is only poor and common man who has to beer the real burnt. It is his house that is being destroyed in missile attacks, it is his sons & duaghters who are being killed in these military oprations.

Israel believes it is a country legitimately established by the UN that serves as the Jewish homeland, and is being attacked by enemies with only destruction of jews as their aim.
