Companies use different credit bureaus depending on the state that the people live in. They might pull Experian for someone who lives in Washington and pull Trans Union for someone in Texas.

You might go to the site I've linked and click on Forums. Then in the upper right you will find a link to CreditPulls. Click on that then enter your state. You will probably find many different companies that use Experian in your state. Also, you will see what scores they have approved/denied with and much more info on the approvals/denials.
