What is your idea from keeping immigrants from crossing the border?

Well if they really wanted to then they'd make laws to say that you must pay all workers minimum wage. Then there would be no incintive to hire illigal immigrants.

However, they offer many benefits to this nation so I don't so much disagree to their being here.

Get rid of any possible financial incentive they may have for coming to the US illegal, prompt and courteous same-day deportation on day of discovery, get legislation in place that'll fine the pants off any employer that knowingly hires illegals, lobby your city and state officials to make it unlawful to rent to illegals, basically put the 'comprehensive' in 'immigration reform' with a BOOT. Give that 2-3 years to work, then they can start talking about work visas etc. Also, put 'learn english' provisions on our ballots so that people that REALLY REALLY wanna work and live in america actually have to learn our lingo. Ya gotta do it if you move somewhere else, why should america be different in that standard? Anyway, the right answer as far as I'm concerned is 'plan it out right, and get it done'. I guess for those folks that want a wall and don't fancy our Mexican neighbors: Please stop vacationing in Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta etc. Stop crossing the border to bring back bottles of liquor and prescription drugs. Stop eating at Mexican restaurants. Stop drinking their imported beers like Corona and Dos Exis. Stop ordering Margaritas and Pina Coladas. Stop going to Taco Bell. Don't buy Chihuahuas and dress them up. Don't buy any illegal drugs, chances are it came from there. Don't buy nachos at the ball park. Stop trying to make enchiladas or tacos at home using those just add water seasoning packets. Stop going over for low cost medical procedures such as breast augmentations and lipo. Stop using pinatas at birthday parties....Should I go on?

Punish those that who would hire and abuse undocumented workers.

The problem isn't the immigrants draining monies from the government, it's the companies that aren't paying what they should be. Since they pay these workers under the table, the government is being ripped off from the taxes that they would have to pay if they did their checks through ADP.

Increase and enforce the penalties for hiring them. If they can't work, they have no incentive to come over. Also repeal the law that says if you're born here, you have citizenship. That law was intended to apply to the children of slaves, so the black people would have citizenship, not to encourage pregnant ladies from Mexico to cross the desert to get here.
