Because as my bf will tell you it is considered sexy to see two women kissing and making love. Men are uncomfortable with gay men because of the constant need to feel masculine and to be around a gay man is threatening to some men. It is as if they are afraid that they are going to be recruited or something which is ridiculous.

Only part of society accepts lesbians, and part accept gay men, usually the gay men are the ones, but really,
i think the society now, doesn't care either way, as long as you dont step on their toes, or behave in a disgusting way publically,,
most people i know say live and let live, everyone has a right to happiness, and it is a free county,, expensive but free,

I saw on a comedy show once that men are either gay or not buy almost no time are they in the middle. Woman on the other hand are mostly in the middle, meaning that most of them are bisexual (according to the sources of thes show.) So there is more people against gay men then most people against lesbians.. or something like that....lol.....

Because our world is still run by straight men, and those men would rather see two women go at it than two men. Therefore, being lesbian is hot because for the dominant straight males, it's great porno, but they don't want to see anything like that if it doesn't involve girl parts. But it's unfair how your question is so true, and people really need to evaluate how homophobic our world is turning out to be. :-P

Because men are turned on by Lesbians. And most do not approve of Gay Men. I found that most Women are absolutely fine with Gay Men.
So its all a matter of who you hang out with, and if they are homophobic or not.

you must be talking about male society.
Because, with women, there is nothing wrong with gay guys.
I am a straight dude, and i don't have any problem with gay guys, they are people, just like me.
The only problem i have is if a dude starts hitting on me...then i don't like it. But as long as gay guys don't hit on me, i am totally accepting. (and, i live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so, a gay guy is not an uncommon sight, and it is also the most accepting area i know)

1. Lesbians aren't remotely as flamboyant on the whole.
2. The whole men are macho and women are sensitive social programming makes men more homophobic. People who are homophobic are generally not afraid of homosexuality in the opposite gender as it doesn't really affect them.

I thought that it was God who didn"t like the gay and lesbian's actions but love the ppl. Society is amuck with them both. I pray for the homosexuals to give their sin to God and to live in the peace that only God can give.

I think its mainly because of peoples belifs....I mean if you think about it guys like seeing girls kiss other girls....but they get disgusted when seeing a guy kiss a guy.....I dont care really I acually have friends who are gay and they are really cool but I think the main reason is people just dont know how to deal with someone different then them I personally think they need to just grow up
