Having been raised among many Italians from Italy, I found the food to be very bland (pasta sauces, etc.). I prefer the spicy American versions. However, I was introduced to biscotti as a kid and loved it. Little did I know then how popular it would become.

It depends on what region of Italy you are talking about ! Its So diverse If you go to the South of Italy its more oily and maybe a little too much garlic . But in the Toscana region its wonderful just the right amount of spices and oil . Oh would I love to be there right now!
