Based on personal experience or word from the grapevine, which would be the best area off post?
Factors to consider - safe and quiet residential area, distance to post, military friendly neighborhood/apartment complex.
Any specific apartments in mind?
Positives and negatives for your choice?

Well, I have lived in hopewell for 22 years (my whole life) And It just depends on what part you live in. The area where i live at in hopewell is the closest to fort lee. I wouldn't recommend living in stratford woods. Even tho its not that bad and i do feel safe here, we have had a few shootings over the years ive lived in the neighboorhood. I've known of some people living in colonial heights but i don't have enough information about it if its safe enough.. I really never hear anything on the news about anything bad happening in colonial heights. And more info on hopewell. Its starting to turn into petersburg. Now i don't think EVERY place in petersburg is bad, but i perfer not to live there.
Postives of living in colonial heights.. your more closer to the mall... haha.
Postives about Hopewell... umm Haha.. I dunno.
Postives about Petersburg... downtown petersburg i heard is nice, my cousin had his wedding down there last year and it was great.
Hopewell ... is just boring haha.
And baileys ridge and jefferson pointe... One of my ex's lived there.. Its close to fort lee.. but .. i heard its like 600 dollars a month for rent. I dunno if that includes anything else but rent.
For other apartments i have no idea.
If i had a choice.. Id choose colonial heights haha.

i comprehend its no longer the record. I stay in midlothian Va, and its large until eventually you've lived there and did not like it.
