I breastfed my girl for 6 months, and my boy for 10. Both of them had formula. Where was the misleading? Mead Johnson did not enter my home with a loaded .45 and make me use their product. I went back to work, and I dried my milk up, simple as that. I felt no need to be troubled at a demanding office job with pumping. You are very rude and crass. You are not God, and you have no idea about everyone's situations. You need to take a step back and really see if people WANT your spill before you give it. Stop hurting other women's feelings. most are hormonal, new mothers or pregnant, and they don't need your drama. You really need to check yourself. Your "advice" is self-righteous and full of La Leche League propaganda...what? Did they dispatch you to Yahoo! Answers to do their evil bidding here? So, they ARE everywhere, just like ants and cockroaches in an abandoned warehouse. Find a new hobby instead of crushing womens spirits. It's sickening.

Please DO explain how my husband and I were "misinformed" because we desired to use formula after 6 and 10 months, respectfully with each child? I'm dying to hear this answer.Yiu are probably too much of a coward to answer.

I hear ya. I hate how the breastfeeding nazi's come out of the woodwork to insult those who chose to formula feed instead of breast feeding. As long as I'm not starving my child it's none of anybody's business.

I breastfed my twins for two and a half years but I agree with you. Everyone has the right to use formula if this is what they want to do. You fed a lot longer than a some people. It does make me sad for newborns though who's mums don't even try to breastfeed just go straight to bottle. That colostrom is so important. You did a good job feeding for that long, don't let others make you feel bad for it. Off now to look for the question you are talking about

Im not a coward...but i'd like to know where the hell this person is you are talking of.If you were misinformed it was your fault. You should have researched your formulas before ever trying anything you had in question.I really think after you find out what formula you will be using..you need to seek counseling for schizophrenia.People like you think that the government is contaminating everything and that isn't healthy for you or especially your kids.

there's nothing wrong with choosing to bottle feed. i have had 4 children... breastfeeding didn't work for various reasons. my husband and i are planning to have another child... and i won't even attempt to breastfeed... i know what i'm up against and i won't put myself through that ever again.

point being, no matter what ANYONE thinks, i'm going to do what is best for my health and the health of my child, BOTTLE FEED.

don't let people on here get you so worked up. some people are never happy unless they get a big reaction out of others.

I completely agree with you. I breastfed until 10 months with my son, then he went on formula till he was just over a year. After he was on homo milk. He is completely fine, healthy as ever. I see no problem with it, dont get too stresses over one persons opinion. I'm a young mother and get it alot.

you go sista!!! i nursed for only a few months w/ each of my 4 kids... i did not have enough milk to keep them fed and full, this is one reason why formula was invented in the first place! babies used to die bc of lack of milk, plus, nowadays, most moms are working and it's almost impossible w/ some jobs to keep this up... my bro and sis in law are BOTH doctors, and recently had to start supplimenting their 8week old son's diet w/ formula!!! there is nothing wrong w/ making choices, no matter the reasoning, as long as our babies are fed and healthy!!!
