I have several dvds that do not play correctly and I can't watch the film. There's nothing wrong with the dvd player. What causes this? I don't see any scratches. Anything I can do for it?

You mentioned that you don't see any scratches, but do you see fingerprints? Those can cause skips also. Just buff the DVD with a soft cloth or rag (dry)... this has always worked for me. Hope this helps.

Problem may be in DVD`s not in DVD player, just put one original DVD & then see, if still the problem presist then try to clean lens of DVD player with good lens cleaner, 7 hope for good results.

could be Lens that reads could be not stable ...loose screws due to droppin or kickin
