The more heat that is generated (through charging) the more the batteries chemicals are being used; hence, the closer the battery is getting closer to its end.

I think that when your charging the batteries rapidly, your probably generating more heat than neccesary and could have an effect on the life of the battery.

I've seen RAPID battery chargers sold that specifically say that they don't damage the batteries when charging.

So maybe there is way to charge the battery without wastefully heating the chemicals.

The smart fast charger won't reduce your battery's life. When the battery reaches its biggest capacity, the smart charger will stop recharging. So it depends whether the fast charger can stop recharging in time.
