I would say that telling people that they are going to burn in hell forever. It's just plain nasty 100% of the time. OTOH if the person you are talking to doesn't want hear you talking sex then you're just being rude.

That depends on your frame of reference.

What is obscene to one person may not be obscene to another. If you've talked about sex a lot before, you may not be offended by it, but may be offended by being told you're going to hell, and vice versa.

Obscenity, offense, political correctness, along with everything else are wrong because people say they're wrong. That's it. Perception is reality.

Talking sex, especially if it's something disgusting and not between the man and woman who is only discussing it for themselves. Burning forever is a truth, too, and it's not obscene in any way--it's totally sad.

some say talking sex and others say burning ... i say it depends on who you are talking to. if the other person has a problem with it then one would be just as obscene as the other.

Depends who you are talking to. Most will find both offensive but the burn (implying Hell) would upset some more than others. Me? I don't care. You can say anything and I'd enjoy the conversation.

No *mature* person considers sex obscene.

I guess that leaves the only other possibility.

Talking about Sex, unless its with your kids, or your mate. Other than that it is morally wrong. Burning in Hell is for non-believers- Are you Saved?

ob·scene (b-sn, b-) KEY

ADJECTIVE:

1. Offensive to accepted standards of decency or modesty.
2. Inciting lustful feelings; lewd.
3. Repulsive;disgusting
4. So large in amount as to be objectionable or outrageous:

Apparently both can be considered obscene, but as to which offends you more, it is probably an indicater of the kind of person you are.
