Everyone instills their own values and morals on their children; you do that without realizing it. However, I believe that the most important thing we can teach our children is to br responsible, independent and productive. With so many parents giving kids most, if not all of their wants, not making them responsible for their own words and actions, and requiring little from them (in means of chores and school work) we are creating a generation of kids who will soon be adults that don't have a clue. I think because I teach high school and I see so many kids who never take responsibility for their own actions, are disrespectful, and want all assignments to be group projects; I have been committed to teaching my children how to be successful in life. They need to know that a call from mommy will not stop the bank from taking your car or home if you do not make the payments. They need to know that a boss will one day insist on promptness you they will get fired. They need to make sure that one day they will be able to take care of themselves. Finally, they need to know that the more productive they are (be it grades, amount and quality of work, etc.) will be directly correlated with the more successful and probably the more money they will make as adults.

The first thought that crossed my mind is if you don't know what you need to teach your child/children than you don't need to be having children. YES I do know what it takes to raise children these days because I have 3 now. I also own a home and land. So as far as you coming across as if I'm poor just because I don't have 6,000 dollars on hand well I'm not. I was asking for information on how to go about getting it started and done. I do think you are rude and nasty to someone that is looking to make there life more complete. As far as my great guy YES we are married and very, very, happy for a year and a half now. I hope you don't act so nasty to other woman on here that want and ask for help or advise. If you don't have anything good to say than don't say anything at all. It would be better off that way. Children need to be taught Love, Morals, Respect, Religion, Fear, etc. or should I go on. If you want more I'll be happy to help you.

Gosh there are so many things to choose from........If I had to choose one thing, I would choose "LOVE". That is love for God and the fellow mankind . Along with that would be respect and honesty. With this the child could grow up and be the best he/she could be.
