which da vinci? perhaps you should study who you're talking about first, cause the title 'da vinci' means "from venice"

so who are you talking about again? no art lover in their right mind would refer to leonardo as "da vinci". it would be insulting.

aside from that, the idea was based on a fictional book and forged documents. check it out for yourself.

fic·tion (fkshn) KEY

NOUN:

An imaginative creation or a pretense that does not represent actuality but has been invented.

The act of inventing such a creation or pretense.

A lie.

A literary work whose content is produced by the imagination and is not necessarily based on fact.

The category of literature comprising works of this kind, including novels and short stories.

Law Something untrue that is intentionally represented as true by the narrator.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ETYMOLOGY:
Middle English ficcioun, from Old French fiction, from Latin ficti , fictin-, from fictus, past participle of fingere, to form; see dheigh- in Indo-European roots

OTHER FORMS:
fiction·al (Adjective), fiction·ali·ty (-sh-nl-t) KEY (Noun), fiction·al·ly (Adverb)

WORD HISTORY:
To most people "the latest fiction" means the latest novels or stories rather than the most recently invented pretense or latest lie. All three senses of the word fiction point back to its source, Latin ficti, "the action of shaping, a feigning, that which is feigned." Ficti in turn was derived from fingere, "to make by shaping, feign, make up or invent a story or excuse." Our first instance of fiction, recorded in a work composed around 1412, was used in the sense "invention of the mind, that which is imaginatively invented." It is not a far step from this meaning to the sense "imaginative literature," first recorded in 1599.

its an interesting piece of fiction, with some pretty wild interpretations of the facts as they are known, if you read it as intended as a work of fiction, then you will enjoy it, if you think that even 5% of the book is real, I have some lovely swampland in florida to sell you. IMO, Angels and Demons by same author was a much better read.

I believe the theory that the story is based around, yes. The book itself is nothing more than a book, albeit a good book, but only a book.

The theory isn't Dan Brown's theory - I hope you know this.

It's rediculous. It's fiction. I don't believe in it at all, but it made a good book. That's all it is.
