No, you can drink a Diet Dr Pepper. It has zero calories.

However, I should caution your thought process. After ANY workout, you should consider drinking something more nutritious. The reason is that after working out, your body is in a catabolic state (feeding upon itself to repair muscle damage). You want to supply it with nutrients to stop this process as well as to recover for your next workout.

Numerous studies have shown that you have about a 1 hour window of time after you finish yourwork to take advantage of this. Also, after your workout, your are more likely to use the food / drink that you used for good purposes.

Runner's World recommended a glass of chocolate milk -- as it contained high glycemic sugars, protein, and carbs and a little bit of fat to support recovery. However, anything that contains some protein and carbs will play an important part in your recovery.

the main adverse effect with all sodas is sodium and the co2 used to create the bubbles sodium (salt) makes you retain water thus water weight co2 and caffeine alters your metabolism making it slower go ahead break open the can you only had one today and at least its diet but you should try to wean yourself off soda if your serious about losing weight try switching to crappier sodas till you cant stand the taste and drink more water the fullness in your belly will help you lose the craving

Just have it. You should drink water instead, but right now you have craving for a Dr Pepper, so...
I am also on a diet; however, it is 1:28am and I am eating chips and crackers. I do exercise, I watch what I eat, but there is no way that I am going to deny myself what I am craving for. It is not that you are asking for poison or drugs.

Good job on staying healthy. Drinking diet soda is no big deal. If you want to keep your six pack , this is my helpful tips
Every can of soda you drink........drink an extra glass of water with your daily taking of water everyday. That help me alot, even though i hate water.

It is no excuse to drink/eat whatever you want, but after a run or a good workout, within the first 10 minutes after you finish, your muscles will burn anything you put in....so, its kind of a freebie time, but it shouldnt be used as whatever you want to eat drink. You should have a gatorade or vitamin water, to replenish electrolytes, and hydrate.
