i know this will sound like a weird question but is there any type of service that has people to act as guides in socal for travelers? not tour bus service at all, but a person payed to come along and act as a guide?

reason question is being asked: 19 people from s. korea. coming to los angeles. never been there before. have no idea how to get around. some speak a little bit of english. and, charter buses are pricey. capice?

If you are staying at a major hotel, the concierge, if given enough notice, may be able to arrange such a service for you.
