God made no mistakes in creating cannabis sativa. I can't say that I've heard Jesus blazed or not, but I wouldn't put it past Him. The Bible says He was Human and Divine. Maybe he did. Everything in moderation. I agree with you, though. And if we're wrong, hopefully we can stand in the line next to each other on judgment day and hit the bong while we wait our turn!

Besides the fact that you owe Jesus an apology, no he didn't smoke pot or any other drug. It messes with the mind and body and he says to keep our bodies clean as the temple of the Lord. It is NOT okay for anyone to smoke dope, Christian or not, but it's definitely not a good testimony for anyone to see a Christian smoking anything...or drinking alcohol, etc. Get real and stop trying to hurt people's feelings, for if you were a true Christian, you never would have posted this. Pot doesn't make you closer to God, either, it makes you totally stupid.

Why do you say "I am a christian, but love an occasional bowl"? Like you have something to be ashamed of or something? God made the plant for man to use. It was the governments that outlawed it for monetary reasons. Each and every one of us has the right to use the plant however we see fit. It is not a synthetic substance. NO ONE has ever died from an OD on marijuana. How many people die related to alcohol or cigarettes each year? Why aren't they outlawed too? Because waaay too much money is being made. They try to make us believe it is for our own health that marijuana is illegal. It is not. Large corporations would lose billions of dollars if it was legalized now. Check out Hemp For Victory. It is a film the U.S. government sent out in 1945 when Japanese seizure of Philippine hemp caused a wartime shortage. They urged the whole country to grow marijuana. As soon as the shortage passed they re-criminalized it overnight. I've also included a document that briefly explains why hemp was made illegal in the first place. You can download the torrent file here. Use a torrent client like Bitcomet to download the torrent after you have downloaded the torrent file from the other link. Open Your Mind! 420

Smoking abuses the body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit that Jesus sent to live in you when He ascended to heaven after His Crucifixion. If anyone is putting smoke in his lungs, instead of the fresh air God made for man to breathe, then he abuses his own body. The Holy Bible has no references in it to Jesus smoking or taking any mind-altering substance. Be careful of the authenticity of the sources of your information. The "HIGH" a Christian is to have is pure delight in the love and the power of Jesus Christ to forgive, heal and save--not in some earth-sown herb that is not spiritual and clearly, inferior to the love of God and the wisdom and understanding that comes from knowing the gospel truth of His words.

What scriptures could you refer me to in speaking out against using drugs.(Marijuana)
I appreciate this question because it means that there actually ARE people speaking AGAINST these harmful substances. There are many scriptures which address this matter either directly or indirectly. At the outset, we must realize that there are many of today's issues that the Bible does not SPECIFICALLY mention. The word "marijuana" is not found in the Bible, however there are broader categories and issues in the Bible that DO deal with this subject and we will concentrate on those scriptures.
First of all, despite vehement efforts, marijuana and most other mind-altering drugs are still illegal. As Christians, we are to be subject and submissive to the governing authorities, (Rom. 13:1-5) thus, if something is illegal under our government it is not only unlawful for a Christian, it is also sinful. Even if a person is not a Christian, he or she is still subject to these same laws.
Marijuana, along with most other drugs of its kind, has also been proven to have harmful physical and psychological effects on the user. If we believe I Cor. 3:16, we will not do ANYTHING to intentionally harm our bodies, which are the temples of God.
We are also, as Christians, in a constant spiritual battle against Satan (Eph. 6:12). No person goes into battle unprepared, especially Christians. Marijuana's psychological effects include but are not limited to: paranoia, anxiety, fatigue, loss of ambition, lowered inhibitions, loss of concentration, and delusions and hallucinations; not exactly the traits of a godly warrior.
When we realize that Satan is roaming around, seeking to "devour" us (I Pet. 5:8) and that we must be "self-controlled and alert", we must also realize that anything which weakens our resolve or chips away at the armor that God has given us is evil.
I Thess. 5:22 tells us to abstain from the very APPEARANCE of evil. Phil. 4:8 tells us what to think on as Christians and since we usually end up DOING what we think about, this is an excellent scripture for this topic. Finally, Col. 3:5 tells us to put to death whatever belongs to our earthly nature. If we have died to self and live in Christ, we will not allow anything other than God to gain control of our lives. Marijuana WILL take over your life if you let it. I hope I've helped you and I hope you will continue to stand up for what is right.

I don't know about Jesus, but it was common to smoke a LOT of weird stuff back in the day. *lol* I'm not a Christian, but I am a pot smoker, and I know what you mean about how it helps you feel spiritual. If it makes you feel closer to your god, go for it!

I read in some non-christian esoteric sources that Jesus made holy oil which included marijuana along with other herbs extracted into olive oil. I read this either in a Rosicrucian book, or in a work by Gnostic mystic Samael Aun Woer.
As far as what is OK for a christian:
Genesis 1:29 is pretty clear:
29 Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
Revelation 22 describes Heaven thus:
1Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.
Marijuana seeds are an excellent source of essential fatty acids, protein, and fiber. Marijuana buds are both medicinal and spiritual and can be eaten fresh (as East Indians do, mashed into bhang), or heat-extracted into oil. I would say that this is Biblically ordained.
It is only in modern times that marijuana was demonized for racist reasons. During the great depression, the state of New Mexico lobbied the government heavily to criminilize marijuana so that they could use drug laws to evict cheap Mexican laborers from the American South West. Today, the war on drugs is still primarily racially motivated. While the vast majority of American drug users are Caucasian, the vast majority of drug arrests are of minorities -- mostly African Americans and Hispanics. Jesus has nothing to do with why Marijuana is illegal. If you are christian and believe god created the world and all of the plants and animals in it, this is what god thinks of his creation:
Genesis 1:12
12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
It's all good.

Jesus couldnt possibly have spoked pot. He didnt exist!
If you are going to take drugs of any kind.............use your OWN wisdom.
The bible does say...let god be true and every man a liar
Romanns 3:4 '........Let God be true, and every man a liar.'
Christians are included in this statment, even the auther of ROMANS (how ironic)
No one in the history of mankind has ever died from marijuana use. Only if they owed me money for it. lol
'God' made marijuana.....some say 'but not to smoke'.......but those same people are willing to say 'God' made sugar to eat, meat to cook, coal to burn, fish to catch, mouths to consume other man designed foods.
Most Christians dont know sh*t. cause they dont seek truth.
Christians dont just drink water and eat vegetables now do they?
Its good to see you ask questions, and enjoy the 'occasional' smoke.
redesign Jesus......every other christian is.
My answer fits all the known facts of reality
Have a nice day :)

You are not a Christian. Yes, its true. When you give your life to Jesus Christ through repentance of your sin a special thing begins to happen to you. You are becoming a new creation and being this new creation, the thing of the world are less important. There is no higher high than being on God.><>

You do feel closer to your father, the Devil when you smoke pot.
If you were a Christian as you say, you would not smoke that garbage.
We are to be sober minded and you cannot use mind altering drugs and be sober minded.
