Well, I have never been asked out, yes I know sad. My point is, I've seen my friends get asked out by guys that they like and found out that it was a joke, or a bet. I don't want that to happen to me, when the time comes..if it ever does..lol So how do I know if the guy is being sincere or not?

I had a friend that happened the same thing. It was all a joke from the guy and she was destroyed. Now she doesnt have the same trust on guys and she told me something, eventhough Im a guy this quote from her goes for both, men and women.
"Never fall in love with a guy 100%...let him/her contribute with half of the love and you put the other half, so if in any case something goes wrong, both wont be too destroyed."
I think its true...both should give some love to make it 100%. Good luck and Im sinlge...lol

Some guys do this to girl's because girl's sometimes allow it by not being on gaurd. I'm 36 year's old and have never dated or had a guy ask me out. I went to the guy and told them how i felt. And from this experince I have been married 2 times and they have both been abusive relationships. I am now in my 3rd relationship and happy. But i will never know what it's like too be asked out or never have the chance to have a guy ask if i would be his girl. And too all the girl's and ladies that get this chance I envy yall & please enjoy those moments .some of us aren't as lucky. Just be on gaurd and trust your heart.

as a fellow female, i can tell you that it's just hard trying to figure out if a guy is sincere or not. it's not about stereotypes but it's better for him to ask. a guy that really likes you will be a man and ask, and he'll do it with class, in private and not on front of his friends (as if to show off). but you know what, take your time. don't rush anything, believe me it's so worth the wait.

you'll just have you judge that, i would say go for it, and if its not sincere, then move on, that guy was a jerk but there is nothing you can do about it, but more often than not its sincere, so i would say if it ever comes...and you like the guy....then say yes.

You can never REALLY tell follow your gut...not how hot you think the guy is...guys will be jerks but karma is sweet and one day come back and hit them in the "right' spot.

When your mature enough to know the difference between a guy playing you and a person that sinerely is interested in dating you, then you will be ready to start dating.

Don't let the world stereotype your role as a woman. If you feel comfortable with a guy, ask him out!
