I believe that intercessory prayer is a powerful tool. Anyone coming to you and asking for help should not be turned away empty.><>

I agree. And the dead who have left this world are in Heaven and are more alive than we are here in this world. God gives them the grace to be able to hear our prayers and to submit our prayers to God. This is in the bible. Here it is:

"3: And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne;
4: and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God." -The Holy Bible (Revelation, chapter 8)

Yes, however, it is also a blessing when anyone of ANY religion gives good energy of themselves to another, asking for nothing in return. All prayer is is a concentration of the human energy upon a desired outcome, for good or ill. Enough good energy, and miracles can happen.

You could also ask a voodoo princess to cast a spell for you if like. It would have the same effect. Get real, prayer is for ignorant people that like to talk to themselves. Do you really think that someone is listening? If you repeat the same things over and over to yourself, then you are convincing yourself that it will come true and eventually it will.

Yes, but what I find sad is so many who just say ok, or I will. When they'll write volumes to some stupid question, but they can't write out a simple prayer that someone has ask for on their behalf.

Yes.

It is great when you ask Christians to pray for you, and they really do.

They were likely already praying for you before you asked!
