Take the cat to the vet. They have fungal shampoos. I know my cat had ringworm. If you don't do something it will continue to get worse and it is contagious. Also, make sure to clean your home thoroughly cause fungal spores can live in the home a long time after it's been treated on the cat or person it can reemerge. You might be able to try some of the anti fungal remedies in the drug store but I would check with the vet to make sure this was not harmful to the cat since cats lick everything off you put on them. It's not nasty. It's a very common thing. I guess people are ashamed to admit it but ringworm is a very common fungus in cats and people. It's a fungus like athlete's foot it's not a big deal if treated early. A lot of people mistakenly think its a type of worm hence it's name but its actually called ringworm cause it makes a red circle on the body which is white in the center like a ring.

Take them to a vet, he'll be able to perscribe the most effective cream for the fungus, and give you advice on what else to do/how to aviod it in future. Plus, on the rare off-chance that its more serious than you think, you'll have more chance of catching it early.

well, I don't know how your cat got fungus, because that's really nasty, but I would just buy a new one, and not let the new one outside. Cause my cat, is perfectly healthy, and it stays inside.

depends where and how do u know for sure it's fungus?
if it's just a patch of skin that's affected, then try clotrimazole 1% cream. otherwise for big areas or claws, go take him to a vet.

If you are cats are older than 6 mths, the vet will be able to give them oral mediaction. If they younger than that, then you can try applying betadine on the fungal areas.

Malaseb will also work but it's quite messy.

Get the poor thing to a vet; how would you like to be ill and not have medical care. Be a responsible owner, and get help for your pet.
