Most men I've asked definitely prefer the women's bikes with no crossbar. Bicycles do not need to to be gendered, especially not for adults. Any reason why they still are?

women and men have different proportions in thier anatomy, thus the biggest difference for "Women Specific"designs. So a 5'8" woman and a 5'8" man are going to have different proportions in torso length, arm length, femur length, etc... And thus bikes *should* be gendered, at least they are in the upper-levels of bikes, not so in the department store level.

Several makers are making step-thru frames (or mixtes) for both men and women, as well - see: www.rivbike.com

Women have longer legs in relation to torso than men.
The 'diamond' frame is stronger up to a point but the dropped crossbar is safer so lot of non-cyclists ride them. If theres still a market for both types, they are going to be made and sold.
Dont expect you've seen the niche market bicycles that are being made?

Men and women have different centers of gravity and that affects balence on the bike plus the seat is a little different for obvious reasons

HAHAHAHA large humorous!!! properly I actual have met a pair too, I purely let them have their second they could't do a lot damage and are going to kick the hamster quickly besides so ideal I do is be severe like they're because at that second it is totally severe to them and snort about it later on.
