how? why? can parents do this???? dont they even care how much their hurting their children?? i just dont understand...

there are such things as sociopaths(they feel no remorse, and have no respect for life). some times they will walk out on their spouse for someone else and dont think far enough ahead to realliz this also means leaving their children and then cant go back becaus the rest of the family moved or they cant face their spouse. or if they went to work, had a po meeting and got arrested at the meeting and couldnt get in touch with their family. my dad was close to that last. the prison guards let him call and tell us where he was. that was 10 years ago and i still only see my dad once a year if that. i know what its like to lose an important family member.

Some parents mostly fathers only think of themselves. I think it's because the mother is the better one of them to look after and love unconditionally a child. I'll tell you one thing you girl have got a talent with your writing. Keep it up and concentrate on urself .Don't worry about your dad, he's the one thats missing out.

why blame dad for everything, like mom had nothing to do with it? why always blame mom, maybe mom was the cause for dad leaving, maybe mom abused dad and you never saw it, maybe mom doesnt let dad see you or your family,maybe dad calls all the time and mom doesnt let you know about it.maybe mom is the bad person too but all you hear is mom and you wont give dad a chance to talk or let you know what happens, so all your life you blame dad and then only to find out on moms death bed that dad really did care and you wasted all this time for nothing. i say you give dad a chance, dont blame dad , mom has to have some of the blame too.

Sometimes parents do things without thinking things through. They are so quick to make a decision on how to make things better for themselves that they don't look at the consequences for everyone else involved. Unfortunately all people, even parents can be selfish.

Not all fathers all like this. I know for a fact my father would never do this even if he hated my mother.
I guess some parents do this because they married so young and aren't really responsible. They don't know the responsibility of a kid but its so sad though

I wish I had the answers to your question myself. My daughter is almost 6y/o and her bio-dad has only seen her the equals of like a week since she was born and child support...yeah right. anyway my belief is they are SELFISH and really dont care about anyone or anything unless it is a benefit for them. If they run away they can just pretend its not there.

they don't care about their kids! they like money or something else{...} why to take care of baby ? they want money , they like to go to bingo to shops not take care of baby or kid !
I have good parents but ive seen a lot of kids without a mother or father or bouth of them!!!

i feel ya! i love that song,and it makes me cry. why don't parents realize the responsibility they have towards their kid/s? how do they live with themselves every day knowing that they abandoned their own kin? that is so messed up.
