Hey i came here to look for answers, im 13 years old, the thing im worried about is the following:
im a different kind of boy...first of all before you read this through (Im not gay)
I found myself in a situtaion of a sea of feelings where i got a huge mood swing and completely turned myself upside down, i now like Pink, shopping, clothing, and puppies
i do still like stuff like hockey american football, wrestling etc...
the problem is people tease me (just boys) but i got great friends who dont and look up for me, and usually when theres lunch ihang out with the girls, and talk about some stuff, and thats when the stupid kids come and make fun of me
it realy gets on my nerves you know?
i mean is this gonna change my social life when i get older to the good or to the bad?
i realy need help, i feel i need to change, but as life proves, no one can change completely with what they love
please help me and tell em if this will affect my social life int the future.

oh hun you're going through one of the hardest changes in your life right now....puberty....and high school
There are going to be so many changes that you will make in the years to come. Heck when I was 13 I was going to be a veteranarian and I loved the color pink and I was going to be "pure" till my wedding day......
yeah, 8 years later, I'm going to college to be a teacher, I HATE pink (love black and grey), and I'm vice-prez of the Qadesh (sex) society at my college....
My point is not to talk about me, but to show you that we all go through changes and we all become better people because of who we were 5, 10, even 50 years ago.
I'm sure at 8 you never would have dreamed you liked pink, or puppies. And in 8 years you probably on't admit that you loved pink or puppies as a teen....but it's just a change.....
embrace who you are

Re: "is this gonna change my social life when i get older to the good or to the bad"
Age 13 I suppose puts you right at the beginning of high school. Depends on how much older you have in mind. Perhaps it shall haunt you throughout high school, but if you go somewhere totally different than where you live now, or off to a university where no one knows you, then seriously your early high school reputation, be it for dressing oddly, being a "nerd," or whatever, doesn't tag along unless you let it tag along.
Your description "like Pink, shopping, clothing, and puppies" reminds me rather of the term "metrosexual" sometimes used to refer to really art-sy guys, like the super flamboyant artists and painters. It doesn't mean they're gay (probably some are) but probably a bunch aren't and just like to act like that. You like what you like, and really in the end, you're the only one that has to deal with the consequences.

There is nothing wrong in being different from others.
Remember : "There never has been and never will be a person exactly like you".
People tend to oppose anything that's new or different. Do not let them get to you.
Be yourself. Love yourself. Develop your self-confidence by identifying your hitherto innate abilities and building upon them.
I'm sure that this won't affect your future in any bad way.

You are perfectly normal. When you get older you will notice that men and women respect someone who is self-confident and secure with their opinions without disrespecting others. At 13 you got a whole lot of figuring out still ahead of you before you can be self-confident about your likes and dislikes. You are off to a good start.

It is a good thing that aren't all macho and close-minded. Later, when you get older, you will score so many girls by being the sensitive, artsy type. That shows confidence and women love that!

It probably isn't going to change. I would suggest standing up to the boneheads. Most of the time, it will end the problem without incident. Be ready though, in case it doesn't end quietly.
