i got very bad for my exam results in june and my mum told me to choose one. Either caning the buttocks 20 times or caning the calf muscle ( like the 'jewel in the palace' girl when she was young ) 20 times. Which one do i choose?

Just call the police or dial 911. They will notify you local child protective services. You can also go to your school nurse or school counselor and they can help you too.
I actually work fr child protective services in California and can tell you, caning is child abuse. You need protection. However, you used the word "MUM" which makes me think your in Europe. Do the same thing. They likely have the same protection for childen there as well.
And also...
And child protective services does everything possible to keep kids with their parents, so long as the children wont be abused in the home anymore. Children only go to foster care when the kids cant be safe in the home. I should know. I was a child abuse investigator.

Um... That's not really ok. Perhaps a little reckless two year old deserves a little slap in the bum once in a while... If your mum makes you choose such a harsh consequence perhaps you should contact someone. Caning doesn't affect your exam mark nor will it change the way you did on it. Not cool.

Choose neither , whats wrong with your mom? doesnt she know that caning a child is illegal, and she should be encouraging you to do better and study hard during the summer instead of trying to inflict pain on your person. Unless you are not telling the whole story, then she is dead wrong, talk to her and explain why your grades were bad and that you promise to do better.

That sounds like ABUSE!!! maybe you may want to call the cops anonymously and ask them if that is legal or not???first do that...Hasn't she ever flunked a test before???**** that sounds brutal!!If, a big If it is legal choose the caning on the buttocks..it will hurt less...

Suck it up. Corporal punishment builds character. I'd go with the butt. More padding.
Too many kids today don't know what consequences are. They get away with murder because their parents are too scared to too lazy to discipline them. They grow up spoiled with a feeling of entitlement. They get victim mentalities, always blaming others for their problems. They're weak.
Of course, if she goes beyond the promised punishment, grab the cane and hit her back with it.

Are u serious? You have the choice to either take the licks or call child protective service and they take you away and have u live with a foster family until u are 18. You choose

omg take the cane away from yr mom, break it in half or burn it and run away to safety!
Im sorry to hear this. That is terrible. No one should be caned! That was last centuries option but not today!
TEll the cops what yr mom wants to do to you, is called human abuse, domestic violence!

Too bad about your exam. I would choose the buttocks, because they're padded for that purpose. Better to have trouble sitting than to have trouble walking.
