He's nine, he likes to read, watch TV, and play on the computer. Does the doc want the glasses worn all the time to ensure that they are worn, or does this prescription truly merit constant wear?

at negative .75 it's like how you see first thing in the morning when you have cheese in your eye. but he doesn't necessarily need to wear them all the time but it would be smart if he does only because with out the aid to your eyes he'll continue to strain and need a stronger prescription, He sees like you'd see if you put on his glasses ( a little blurry and it hurts your eyes) if he wear them often he can keep them from getting worse. And if he can keep them from changing he can be a candidate for corrective surgery when he's older

What does his doctor say?

It's very important for kids to wear their glasses as prescribed by the doctor. Otherwise his vision could become worse.
