Cooking is all about fantasy and imagination
choose something unusual, something with a scent, something that will add to the cauliflower cheese's value, something that you have available now....

If the cauliflower cheese is going to be a main course, I'd serve it with a side-salad - something light, as the cauliflower cheese is quite heavy.
I like adding some onion to the cheese sauce, just to add some flavour; mixing cheeses is good, too. Have you also tried adding broccoli with the cauliflower? That makes the whole thing a wee bit more interesting!

One of the best things to serve cauliflower cheese with is toast. Your kids will love dipping it into the sauce and it will fill them up. Don't be tempted to serve things like chips or roast potatoes, they only add fat.
Also try serving a two other vegetables carotts and broad beans etc. The best way to do this is to have them in a separate bowl and served as a side dish.

I always think that fish is the best thing to go with cauliflower cheese. I have tried other things like sausages and yes you could also use crusty bread, but fish too, and just a little parsley on the side, the kids will pick it off but it looks good!

Our 11 month old girl loves cauliflower cheese (and broccoli cheese), and likes to have ham or sausage with it - although a well-made cauliflower cheese is a meal in itself.
Sometimes I use the food processor to crumb yesterday's bread and some cheese, which I sprinkle on top of the cauliflower and cheese sauce before baking, to make a deliciously crunchy gratin.

You don't have to serve anything with it some nice olive bread is good. But when you finish it off put some soft breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese on top and brown off in a ovenproof dish luvely and crunchy.

Add bits of grilled bacon/ham, sauteed leek and corn niblets to it. Serve with a green vegetable.
I like mine served on toast made from crusty bread, or with brown rice.

My little boy loves cauliflour cheese, but i add macaroni and broccoli in with it and he thinks its the best, he has it once a week its his fave!
Ive found adding most veggies works aswell, the fact that theyr mixed with cheese sauce makes them more appealing.

Some Really Strong Mouthwash. I mean it. Last time I had that for a snack, my breath smelt like cottage cheese all day. Yuck.
