depends on the situation.. the amount of the money.. where I am and who's around me.. do you know who it belongs to? is there anyway to figure out who's it is? if there is I would try and return it to that person.. If it's a room for some charity event and I was not able to figure out who's money it is I would probably make sure it went to the charity.. if there is no one else there and no way to know who's money it is.. I might keep it, depending on the amount.. a few buck I would probably keep.. but a few hundred or more I think I would turn it in to the police.. (the local laws where I am from, states that if the money is turned into the police and not claimed after a certain amount of time, that it would be returned to the person that found it) I would try to do the right thing.. because I can imagine how the person would feel to loose the money, I would hope some one else would do the same for me if I was the one who lost it..

You need to be more specific. I found money on the floor before, I pick it up and keep it. But where? Depends. How much? Depends.

I purposefully dropped the money there (any amount, e.g. $15, $20, $40, $50, $67, $75, $100, etc.) and then hid on a street corner to see if anybody picks it up.
When someone picks it up, my buddy would come up and tell that person to split the amount or keep it. Then I would walk out from the street corner and said I just lost a few hundred dollars (or any large amount) from this spot and I suspect that person who picked it up took it. My buddy would be my witness, then I will have my other buddies (or I will do it myself) to search that person's bag and purse. Once we grab the bag or purse, we would run (or fleet on a car or motor-cycle).
If that person does not agree to let us search his or her bag or purse, we will have that person arrested.
If that person is a pretty lady, we might strip search or as well...
Now, which lucky (greedy) person wants to be my target, our next victim?
Muah ha ha ha ha ha...! (Evil laughs)

Pick it up and look for the owner of the money. If you can find the owner nearby, give it back. If you cannot find the owner turn it in to the police department. They will have you fill in a form and if no one comes to claim the money within a certain time period they will let you have it. Then you can donate it to your favorite charity. Good karma for you.

If it seems as if it dropped from someone nearby, then ask them. If it's a wallet or an extremely large amount of money, turn it in to the police (as hard as that may be, the good karma will come back to you). If it's just there by itself staring back at you, take it for yourself.

If it were money, and there was no wallet or means of identifying who it belonged to, I may keep it, unless it was a ridiculous amount such as $5000.00 I may consider reporting it to the police - but if it were $100 I may keep it, especially if I had no idea how to return it to it's rightful owner.

I would keep it (I would check to see if anyone had lost a wallet or bag or whatever first). I wouldn't want anyone to take my money if I lost it but who knows, maybe they need it more than I do and I lost it for a reason?

Depends.. If no one was around it and it was just laying there.. I would keep it and consider it a blessing... Now If I saw someone drop it and knew who it belonged to... I would give it back! But most Def. will keep if it was just laying there!
